Another Gearbox question....HELP!

    Right, sorry if this has been covered before, I did do a quick search but couldn't find exaclty what I was looking for!

    I have a 2001 VTR which has now developed a whining in the gearbox. From what i've read the VTS box is gonna be my best bet without spending ages looking for a rallye box etc??? Now, I swear somewhere I've read that a MK1 vtr gearbox wont fit a mk2 R without changing the driveshafts? So my question is, if I buy a MK1 VTS gearbox will it fit my vtr without having to change driveshafts or do i need a Mk2 box? Also, is there anything else at all i will need for the fitment of an S box?

    All gearboxes interchageable. You are thinking of the outer cv joints on mk1 vs mk2 being different, taperd or flat. As long as you keep you cars current shafts you will bw fine.
