Passenger door rubber coming away :/

  1. #1
    Hi
This will be hard without the aid of pictures at the moment
But the rubber seal that runs from the wing mirror to the top right corner of my passenger door frame is peeling away.
It's left a gap right when the roof curves to run down the A pillar
How could i get the seal to stick back to the bodywork?! I assume glue but don't want anything to potent that it eats through it :/
I've tried araldite precision and tigerseal black sealant - to no avail :/
    Please help

scrap yard for a replacement one??
  3. #3
I would still have to glue it on though :/
    That's the issue I'm having
  4. #4
but the original is prob not glued on so a replacement will go on the same. if its the piece i'm thinking of it sounds like its split so the replacement will be full and go on without gluing

It's the bit that attaches to the bodywork
    Not the doorframe
So when you open the door, it stays on the bodywork

It's not the seal on the door frame, if that's what you're mistaking it for

my mate has this exact problem on both sides. tis a right ball ache. hes tried superglue and tried clear sealant. but everytime you slam the door shut it just drops it off again lol

could ask around local bodyshops etc for help?

I'd rather sort it myself with the right glue
It's just a case of getting hold of it!

See I've tried araldite precision and tigerseal
The tigerseal 'sorted' it in the fact it made a section stick, but the main area is still bad :/
