   1. can i unplug my ecu from the loom with battery dissconned and it still work when re-plugged ( new to all this ecu lark i'm used to old skool stuff lol)
   
   2. i've taken my driver side wing off and saw a big canister thing like a super sized fuel filter what is this and whats it for?

   Leave the ecu connected to the loom just move it out of the way.The cylinder you refer to sounds like the charcoal canister which is for emissions.
