Constant 12v switched live needed urgent!!

  1. #1
ok im hunting for a constant 12v switched live, so when ignition comes on, its live then when i crank it to start the engine its still live, and doesnt go off like all the other wires ive tried.

its to keep my sigcon on as the switched lives ive tried all lose power when i turn the key to start the engine. so puts it back in default and hence the car wont start!

    tried.

every fuse in the engine bay fuse box.
    lambda
    icv
    injectors

    any one help?

sounds a bit sill but could you not run a live from battery through fuse through a switch in dash then to where ever its goin? a ball ache i know but it will sort your problem on a temperory basis?

thats the thing, ive tried running it directly off battery, but when i flick the key the sigcon keeps losing power...

literally this is the only thing stopping me from driving my car really getting p'd of with this now..

why does it keep losing power from the battery?
    if not

    key barrel ingition wiring
should be two plugs(maybe three) carnt remeber
one of them wires are a constant 12v

If losing power when cranking then maybe the battery isnt producing enough volts so it's dropping out when under high load (I.e starting)

You will want one of the wires coming from the igntion barrel.
Cant remember off the top of my head which one it is, but this will give a continuous supply even when cranking.

Get you multimeter out and test which one it is.

try running the live from a different batter when trying to start that will rule out weak battery mate?
  8. #8
There's one at the barrel iirc

cheers lads, gunna give it a go now.

you going to make it to fcs?
  11. #11
it definetly sounds like a dodgey battery as if a direct live from the battery is losing power under ignition i cant see you being able to pull a live from ignition? i may be wrong though?

    got the live!!! ;p

well what date is fcs? i didnt plan to but if i can find an rpm feed wire for my mf2, then im done today...
