Your views on bucket seats?

Just fitted some blue buckets into my black 1.1 saxo. Decided to do it as I bought them with frames for £70 for the pair and also my previous seating was begining to droop and looked crap.

What do you guys think about bucket seats, dont want the chavy stigma thats attached with them. Will post some pics.

i personnally like them they hold you better but if they too big they look shit

IMO - if its a really really nice flat arch its fine - like saxostuart - lush! But in an otherwise standard 1.1 it will look chavy.....

    Just my opinion.

i like buckets actually especially when ur cars stripped out and 3point harnesses but the only thing is.... its a 1.1 :/ hardly a track car

i had buckets in my old saxo & loved them for about 3 months then they hurt my back and gf at the time hated them,
new saxo came with buckets and fort fuck it been like the last saxo, noisey when stripped out, cant have mates in the back and girls moan about that there not uncomfortable enough , so i fucked mine off, and will never look back

the only options i think is either bucket stripped out oorr gti leathers

Wouldnt have them without a cage.

Wouldnt put the harnesses into the rear seatbelt mounts and its a too strong an angle.

Pointless and makes the car less enjoyable to drive if it never see's a track.

Wouldnt fit the seats you have as without even seeing them i cant tell what theyll look like and im not a fan..

In conclusion get that shit out and find your self some lovly git leathers

some of us do not have the luxury to use 2 cars one with bucket when you want to rally and one with leathers when u want a comfy ride lol but what do you prefer to drive?

My gti is a project / weekend fun car me and my brother, we went halfs on it 'coz it was rather cheap, and needed very little work

My vtr is my daily drive

The gti leathers are so much nicer to sit in/on, but i prefer the look of the buckets

Altho i do like the buckets hold me up-right as i tend to slouch alot...

Its all down to personal preference really

As for the pure fun of just driving, 16v all day long lol
