help!?

   Hi im new to this site but really could do with help
   
   I was on my way to work thursday and i heard a pop and then the car started vibrating.
   
   I have taken the car to two garages and they have checked the car over and cant find anything wrong. They checked the engine mounts which they say are fine. Im due to go on holiday next week and im worried about taking it on the motorway.
   
   
   Its had a new gearbox, clutch and engine mounts within the last year.
   
   Please help??

   what sort of pop? has a wheel weight come off? something simple like that or was the noise quite loud

   Well the noise was loud enough to make me jump, the garage said the wheels and tyres are fine.

   Could be(and its a big guess)the noise was from the CAT.

   But it still vibrates as soon as i start it, it seems to vibrate less as i speed up thou.
   
   So frustrated!
   
   The mechanic just recomended i get it surviced.
