Remote central locking

   My central locking works perfect when I lock or open the drivers door however my remote key fob will not operate I have changed the batteries and tried the pressing the lock button twice technique to no avail can anyone help

   You took it apart to check the micro switches on the board?

   There might be a crack inside the keyfob.

   How do you know if your caris alarmed where would the alarm usualy be

   mine didnt work before.. what i done was;
   turn on the ignition but dont start the engine
   and hold the bigger button down on the central locking fob as you're turning it on
   
   then it worked
   worth a go!

   iirc vtr's didn't come with alarms only vts's. I think the easiest way of testing, is to see if the lights flash (hazards) when you lock/unlock it.
