Thoughts on this backbox?

   Save a bit more of your pocket money and have a look at the for sale section on here, usually have some quality exhaust systems for cheap.

   online autosport are a good firm for making sportex but beware of the hangers, sometimes they dont alline up and are made from hollow metal so they tend to snap as you relocate them, my mistake once!

   I bought a sportex exhaust from ebay and got it last week. I went for the 4.5" oval and tbf if you fit it right it sounds pretty good to me. Having not had a backbox before mind you! I did'nt weld the exhaust i clamped and pasted. I would say it will sound pretty good if you dont want to sound mega loud but make a deeper sportier sound, it sounds good around 3000 revs and going up to about 4500 but then starts to quiten down. but if i where you id go for it i was pleased with it. hope this helps

   Thanks Benji, im not planning on any welding etc, thats why im looking for a direct fit replacement

    Got the sportex system with 3" back box and centre pipe should be on car at weekend. Heard good things about it for the price
