front grill fitting (removing suport member) mk2

    Hi, i have a meshed streamline carbon grill and want to know weather its ok to remove the strut that goes behind the centre of the standard grill

    EG that bit you can see in the centre of this pic (not my car)

    just paint it black mate

    if you remove it, im pretty sure the bonnet will weaken in the middle and be really easy to bend/dent

    paint it black and you wont see it as much

    its in the way not bothered about it been there :/

    might try and bend it a bit

    ps its very very thing bit of metal cant see it doing any thing, and the carbon should take the stress better than that bit ? ohh and the grill will be bonded on

    he says its in the way not that its annoying him reading the thread might help but as said above he cut his off and had no problems
