Fuel gauge not working

   Recently has a new fuel pump and the petrol gaugehasnt worked since it's not a fuse as when I start it up it just keeps bouncing up and down any help would be great

   Yeah it moves when I turn the car on but just doesn't settle it goes up to full tank then down to orange light about 3 times then just hits the bottom and stops working
