lumpy and misfiring when cold?

Just a quick one, when its cold sometimes it runs lumpy and misfires, but once hits temperature it runs perfectly. I asume it would be the MAP sensor, but could it be the coolant temp sensor, even though the coolant dial works perfectly?

sorry its for a 2002 vtr mk2, (i no its defintly a mk2 ph2 just not sure on the year as its my brother in laws.)

Same problem. Wild goose chase Mine cuts out sometimes... engine light has been on and off once or twice too and diagnostics have come back at different times as being bothThrottle Position Sensor and some kind of "Oxygen Enrichment". Still haven't had it sorted because will cost a lot to pin point the problem (IMO).

How old is yours? I am starting to think that mine might just be problems with fuel pump... it seems to run a treat when there is more petrol in the tank... but saying that, even if the tank is empty, a lot of weight in the boot also seems to solve the problem... bloody frenchcars

Your getting confused mate, theres 1 sensor for the gauge & 1 for the ecu its the coolant temperature sensor that often plays up both located on the thermostat housing.
