torsion bars

    what a piss take yesterday i went an bought all the tools to lower the rear i got all siezed parts off no problem but then it came to the star bolts at the back of the torsion bars , i cleaned them out properly an got me tool in there nice an tight an it just rounded strate away . what a piss take when you know how to do it, why cant they just use normal bollts , every one knows star bolts round off once they get a couple of years old lol, its in the garage now the can deal with it

    I had a similar problem but with charnging the spark plugs. When unbolting the cover one of the stars rounded off so had to "bodge" it and make a new slit in the screw so i became a flat head screw lol

    Sometimes it pays to let someone else fuck it up and then you dont have to mess around trying to sort it lol.

    yea defo m8 thats why its in the garage today they can have the stress of it , the worst thing was i nearly done it i just couldt undo the bolts on the back of the torsion bar {jokes}

    I went to lower mine again the other day and my torx bolt was fucked from where the last monkey attacked it! I'm just going to try and weld a nut to the end and bish bash bosh (hopefully) it will undo lol

    thats what the garage ended up doin with mine m8 , every star bolt i take off my car now will be replaced with a proper bolt , who ever invented star bolts is a NOB!!!

    How about citoren make the cars at standard at 60mm slamed, that would solve so much hassle!
