Loud idle, gargle on lift off

   Just drove the car and it started making a weird noise
   
   On idle the car is very loud but not lumpy
   When you rev to 3/4k and lift off it sounds like a liquid gargling and other than that its really loud
   
   Temp of engine is fine
   
   Got a pipercross air filter, had it for about a month
   It sounds as if its coming from this but checked it out and looks ok
   Only thing i havent done is put the standard air box back in coz im meant to be revising! and i had to bend the end of the pipercross to fit it on llol
   
   Cars going for an MOT tomorrow, will fail coz the horn doesnt work (got new horn, its wiring or the button)
   Ill let them have a look but jwing what it could be

   mine made this weird gargling for quite a while too. like water rushing round somewhere between 3 and 4k. freaked me out as i couldn't understand why!
   
   unfortunately, that only stopped after the HG went... and it went good and proper haha

   Needs to be done anyway, could of waited till after the insurance though!

   haha i know the feeling. we tried a few radiator related things before hand but nothing really made any difference.

    Airlock in the heater matrix? Could mean you could hear the water going around inside of it?

    Its more the loud engine noise, rather than the gargle sound tbh
    
    Ill have another listen in a bit
    
    Havent replaced coolant/taken cap off though so airlock is unlikely?
    
    Defo no exhaust sounds coming from the engine, could be mani?

    The water noise on mine is the air sucked into the filter, its the noise it makes when theres not quite enough throttle for it to roar

    Blow in the mani pipe? When my lambda cracked around the join in my last car, made a really loud gargle on come down from about 4k?

    It is from high revs you can hear the gargle

    Was a lamda sensor, tada
    
    Well, the lamda sensor had rusted out of the pipe so theres a hole the size of a golf ball in the pipe hehe
    
    Btw is the downpipe welded to cat cat or just bolted? I cant remember and its raining lol
