Lowering issues

I need some advice with lowering on my flatarch...
I really want to lower and I should soon have the money to do it, but I'm just a bit worried of the following...

When I got my alloys put on they were rubbing on the inside and touching the handbrake cable, so I spaced them 6mm out and they weren't rubbing on the inside.

Then, a few days later I realised that when going over large bumps (i assume) the outside arch was very slightly scraping the tyre, I hammered the part away that was scraping and it doesn't seem to have got any worse.

I'm now scared that if I go any lower I'm going to have the same issue with the outer arch scraping the tyre etc?
Wanted to go about 40mm so I don't have to get uprated shocks etc.

Honestly can't remember off the top off my head. Will check tomorrow and get back to you. I know they're low profile tyres.

Pretty sure it's 65 but might be wrong..

If you run 45 profile tyers it should be fine, mine is 40 all round on 15s and is fine.

Well they were rubbing even before lowering so would they not still rub? :/

Just got a load of your mates to sit in the back and poodle around to see if theres any rubbing issues. Flat arches inner arch can be bent away with a heat gun and a bit of wood (bandit i know)
