Car wont Start!!!!

    Bought a 51 plate vtr non runner thinking it was going to be an easy fix but it seems not! lol we have tried testing some wires,crankshaft sensor and fuel pumps working okay. The immobiliser light is flashing but the previous owner sed it had been flashin for a while but was still running.It passed its Mot then stopped workin about a week after then had crankshaft sensor fitted and ran again for about two weeks then stopped and has now sat for 2-3months.

    Anybody think of anything it may be? It will probarly be sumthn obvoius or sumthing we havent even thought off

    might be worth a trip to a auto sparky, me mates VTR was running ok, went to the shop, came out and it would not start, the ECU has gone so they sorted it out for him an its back on the road

    get a hold of an unlocked ecu and try that

    ok thanks anyone know where i can get a cheap ecu or get it unlocked cheap?? cheers

    yea i have a 3plug VTR ecu for sale on here and its cheap £50

    Does the engine have any compression, could well be an ECU but could potentially be a seized.

    Does it seem mechanically okay?
