#2nope air filters are different and the oil filters come in different sizes. I think all the fuel filters are the same size though.

#3yeah i would make sure they get it right as they could end up charging you for the stuff that didnt fit , i went to get a air filter , spark plugs and oil filter they put my reg in for my 2000 x reg furio and gave me the wrong oil filter lucky i noticed so didnt have to go back to change it , but the bloke was having none of it he was saying " my computer database is never wrong" duhhhh well it was as 2000/1 x and y reg was the crossover years betwee mk1 and mk2 so nothing makes sense lol

#4They can't charge you for parts they bought wrongly, if in doubt ask for an itemised breakdown of the bill. They will only ask those question so they roughly know what they are dealing with and so they can quote you on the work.

#5when ordering parts only need the cars registration i order parts at work and when ordering for things like 206's i get asked is it spin on or cartridge if i don't know (or havn't seen the car) they just send both and the one we don't use we send back.

#6I always do mine myself to keep the costs down and so i have peace of mind that its been done myself.

#7I gave my reg...so im guessing since it's a national company not just a shitty back road garage they should find it on a database with all item codes and stuff?

#8Your guessing wrong more cock ups and mistakes are made at "national company's" than in side garages i would never take my car to the likes of quick fit , natonal tyres , wilco motorsave. Simply because your just another driver with another car they really dont care.Quote:I gave my reg...so im guessing since it's a national company not just a shitty back road garage they should find it on a database with all item codes and stuff?
There are a few people on here that work in "shitty back road garages" that would give you a hell of a better service than a national garage would so don't tar every one with the same brush, especially if you get your servicing done by one of the above garages. -
#9I didn't mean to say all side garages are shit, the ones around me are all middle aged fuck tards who con you apart from a couple, i know some side garages will do a good job, take KrisB for example, i've been to him a few times but i dont fancy travelling that far for just a service but he does amazing work.
But the place im going to im kind of a regular for most things with my car, they always take care of me there so i keep going back and haven't done me wrong before. I jsut wanted to know if they'd get all my vehicle details off a databse for the parts...
