Mot fail

    Ok:

1.8 N/S Headlight aim too low
1.8 O/S Headlight dazzling - where can I get alignment sorted?

1.7.2 - both headlights deemed insecure (WTF) they are both attached securely to the bay via the 2 bolts - any ideas?

1.1.C.1c - Reg plate lamp dead - simple enough I assume, fitting it easy?

3.6.B.4a O/S brake hose rubbing (wasn't an issue last year?!)

    Fuel filter insecure...

    oh and a new tyre....

An advice appreciated although that sucks the dong.

1.8 O/S Headlight dazzling - any decent garage or body shop will have a alighnment jigg

1.7.2 - both headlights deemed insecure - are the insides loose or can the headlight be moved when wobbled by hand
1.1.C.1c - Reg plate lamp dead - easy one new bulb

3.6.B.4a O/S brake hose rubbing - will probs need a new one if the rubber is worn pretty easy and there about 16 quid(guessing at the flexi hose). Or a set of uprated ones from swampy for 20 smething
Fuel filter insecure... - cable tie it up or get a blue strap for 3 quid from citroen.
    oh and a new tyre....
Hope this helps and as for the dazzleing headlights do you have hid's or are they just set wrong on the adjustment dial or the beam might just be set too high with tha manual adjustment..

ah they headlights do move/play slightly but it's not like they are in danger of falling off. Do they have to be 'solid' then? And the insides? Are you referring to the cup cluster that holds the bulb?

Yeah man I have a set of exact hose on atm but not had the rubbing issue! Need to check that myself as I doubt it's fully perished.

Yeah mate they have to be solid i had the same issue with my gf's clio last week. and yes the cups that hold the bulbs shouldn't move unless you adjust them with the adjuster or the switch in the car.

Fooooook. Probably need some new headlights then >< I can wiggle the bulb about from the inside rubber cup lol.

Any mainstream garages that would be adequate from your experience?

Yeah they've been the same for 2 years now (since I 'smoked' them) and it's only now on the list! Crazy. 4th year of owning this French tin and it still surprises me (I thought my only issue would be my rear beam!)

Yeah I'd appreciate that option mate. I assume I'll have to get them adjusted afterward aswell?

its quite silly some of the things they notice one year but not before lol and well you need to remove the headlamp adjuster motors which im sure you know the black blocks with the little white like allan key hole to turn them , well you NEED to remove these from your old headlights to use on the brand new ones to be able to adjust them other wise you will be doing what im doing tomorrow 2 hours before my re-test im getting mum to take me to the scrappy to get some new adjuster motors as i threw the old ones wih my "apparently" broken headlights lol a big fail

    and here you go bud

its AG autos just type it in on google with the capital AG otherwise you just get aload of shit results

Take it to a non-anal MOT service, sounds like a jobsworth to me?

Well I would J but I've already paid and hell if I'm paying again for an MOT.

Need to sort all this malarky out tomorrow, otherwise I won't be driving to south Wales haha.

Thanks again for all advice, expect PM's with further issues

Are new lights the only way to rectify this? As I can't really see the correlation between new lights and them being 'solid' to the frame. Further advice appreciated boys and girls.

Tester needs to die in fire lol.
