good prices?????

Hi all

just been quoted by a family friend who did my valeo clutch last week for this below is this a good price?

front discs and pads (unsure on brands for all)
inner cv boots
new radiator
temp sensor
radiator flush and anti freeze.

all in with labour £410

hmm that seems a little steep to me seen as most of those are 10 minute jobs

holy moley !!! Parts will be about 150 so assuming he is charging you at 60 quid/hour. That's nearly 5 hours labour !! My local garage would probably do that for 200 - 250.

thats steep at work we charge 160 incl vat and fitting for the vented front discs+ pads
probs £50 for the cv boot probs £10 tem sensor and maybe £60 for the rad and about £10 for coolant all dependant on how much the retail on parts are, but if you had all that done at our place then we;d discount labour. i noticed you havn't included box oil.

how much did he charge for the clutch replacement

front discs and pads - pads around 6-12 quid a set, discs, roughly the same.
inner cv boots - 8-11 quid each
new radiator - 40-70 quid
temp sensor - 6 quid - ive had about 6 in a year!
radiator flush and anti freeze - 25 quid

if someone tried charging me more than that for parts, id kick them in the cunt! and secondly, go steady, you can do it all yourself for free as they are easy jobs. people on here are more than happy to talk you through it if you get stuck.

It cost me £270 for a clutch replacement the other day. would like to try and do it myself but i would mess up lol
