Just popped out then came back home to find this on the floor where my car was, don't have a clue what it is. Seems to be a cover of some sort? Its got some grease stuff inside of it. Anyone know what it is as it definitely looks like it need replacing.

    Thanks in advance

Looks like something like a filter cover or something. Possible something for drive line. Unsure, check around underneath tomorrow and i suggest not moving it.

Its the dust cover from the end of the steering rack mate. You will have to bodge it back on as you cant get new ones from citroen unless you buy a new steering rack.

As you look in the engine bay mate it will be on the end of the steering rack to the left hand side right at the back. Pretty easy to find once you spot the rack.

It is pretty important it stops dirt and shit getting into the working of the steering rack. but just bodge it back on with cable ties and some urethane/ silicone tape.

Twitch/ say ouch/ turn the car into a transformer.

I was understandably disappointed when I found out it was a dust cover.

Haha all very realistic things that could happen to something on a saxo! From your expectations I can see that you must have been very disappointed.
