I think my front wheel bearings need replacing as i jacked the car up to check and they both have movement when shaking up and down, the right seems to be worse than the left.. anyway wondering whats the best way of replacing them, can I do it myself? how much would a garage charge for them both. would prefer to do it myself if I can

#2If i was you i'd check you've got the right driveshafts before you change any wheel bearings. There are two types of driveshaft (rounded and tapered) and if you've got the wrong shaft then you'll have mega play in the bearings.

#3Im pretty sure they are the right driveshafts ive owned the car about 2 years now and its always been fine just starting to get a few problems now, If i hold the wheel at 12&6 and try to shake it it makes a bit of a knocking noise and moves slightly

#4Defo the bearings mate.. I changed one ov mine yesterday and it was a bitch ov a job! Take out ur strut off the car, have ur bearing bought already,go to ur local garage and get tghem to press out the old one and in the new,i done mine withe press but had to weld a plate to each side ov the outer bearing that was stuck in the strut.. Yheyl only charge 20quid and its well well worth it!!
