16v engine

   Ok guys is it safe to remove the 16v cylinder head and if so once I've taken it off will i be able to see the cams just with the head off and identifiy if they are standard or aftermarket ones.

   Just take the rocker cover off, you should be able to see the cams, not sure if you would be able to tell if they are o.e or not just by looking at them unless they have any markings on them

   go nthrough all the effort of removing the head just to see which cams you have? you will have to replace the headgasket etc. cant you just remove the rocker covers and have a peek

   if you remove the head all you will see will be cylinders and valves, to see the cams take the rocker covers off
