Hi I've just sprayed my s alloys and just want peoples experiences when have tyres fitted. Can it be done without chipping them etc. Also any tips that could prevent this thanks. As I am very pleased how they have turned out and I don't want them to get ruined as I spent slot of time on them. Thanks

#6When fitting tyres, accidents happen... But the problem with people who spray their wheels themself, thinking haldfords rattle cans would surfice...are the ones who cause the chipping.
When wheels are professionally refurbed, they are using good base, paints, clear coats and baking it on, so its set and hard from day one.
Without the access to this rattle cans and clear coat, take longer to set and isnt as effective, so even a tight tyre can cause it to chip the paint off.
If its been done professionally, i wouldnt worry anyone who knows how to fit tyres like a pro, wont cock it p.
Used shit materials, expect it to chip. -

Or depending on what profile tyre you are having fitted and the tyre machine you can set it up so the guide on the tyre machine is about an inch away from the rim.
If you are REALLY concerned ask the tyre place if they have the rim protector things, or purchase your own:
