Fuel dial needle?

   My needle on my dials for the fuel i cant get it sitting eight since taking it off.. I put 15 pound a fuel in and then it shows as the petrol light lol how do i get it sitting right again?

   Fill it to the brim and put the needle on full. Or run out of fuel and put the needle on the bottom of the reserve line. Or get a set of clocks that have not been messed with.
