Rght, so basically i'm a bit unsure as to whether its just lack of ABS or whether my brake bias valve needs some adjustment.
The problem is that when slamming on the car swerves a little to the left, the back end doesn't violently kick out as in coming out and spinning the car around, but for example I tested it out the other week in the wet and if i'd have been driving down a road with parked cars to the side and done it i'd have been close to the front end hitting a car although swerving to the right did counteract it a bit.
Since that I took the wheel off the car and used some similar product to WD40 on the valve, then freed it off with some mole grips so it was moveable, so I don't think it is now seized. I also greased it up.
However today I was driving along at about 35-40, in the dry this time, and was talking to the gf so should have been concentrating a little more i'll admit
so please don't flame too much
, and at the last minute i noticed the queue of traffic had come to a halt as the car at the front was waiting to turn right, I slammed on sharply and the brakes did their job, locked up and again swerved to the left a little, however not as much as before and luckily there were no cars at the side of the road, but it was still a lot more scary than my previous heavier car with ABS that would brake in a straight line.
I'm not sure if maybe i need to get used to the lack of ABS and being quite a light car or if the bias valve needs adjustment?
My car is lowered 60mm on the back and when jacked up the bias valve spring is loose and has about 6mm of left and right movement, although when the car is jacked down this will obviously tension up?
Cheers
