Hey guys bought a new saxo yesterday in white
i put £30 petrol in yesterday and the needle only went slightly above reserve then stayed there all the way home and started to slowly go down and stay then slowly go down and stay but its obv a problem coz my other saxo dont do it and its really annoying me because i dont know how much fuel i have left :L

also temperature gauge is workin-ISH when sat still it goes up to haalf way and then when driving will stay there but start going down to almost cold and stays there so dont know how hot the car is
    anyway of sorting this?

im thinking could it be temperature sensor and the fuel gauge sender unit?
    what you guys think ?
i might sell it in a couple weeks if i dont like this one and buy a new one
only payed 750 for it with 12 months MOT and 6 months tax (put on day i bought it)
anyway would really appreciate your thoughts on these problems?

It could be down to a faulty temperature sensor and fuel sender unit is a fairly common problem to have on saxos but it seems stange both are misreading. I'd say it could be a bad earth/connection on the dial panel I'd get that tested first. Hope you get it sorted mate.

had similar issues, bough a second hand unit and fitted , problem gone as the instrument cluster is all electric I new it was the cluster that was at fault, does your rev counter or speedo jump about for no reson ?
