Important! : Bulb help!

  1. #1
    Hi
Recently got smoked jewels on the back of my MK2 Saxo
    Problem is
Whenever I have the sidelights on, and I press the brake pedal, the drivers side bulb fails to illuminate, turning off, so I have no brake or sidelights on the drivers side
But when I let off the brake pedal, the sidelight comes back on

    Please help ASAP

On your rear lights you have bulb holders take each light out 1 by 1 & clean the bulb holders with emery cloth.Often dirt/corrosion get into them causing the problems you have.Either that then you may have an incorrectly fitted bulb or a wrong bulb fitted.

    Thanks!
Sorted that, just scraped it with a screwdriver
    But it worked

Last problem, can't get any foglights on the rear?
    No bulb illuminates at all!!!

try new bulbs or check a fuse, dunno if rear fogs are on a seperate fuse to the other lights.

    Bulbs are new in there
Haven't checked the fuses yet though so is a possibility
    Thanks

    Hi
on my saxo rear lighting board there is definitely space for 4 bulbs
a twin element covering braking + sidelights
    one for reverse
    one for indicator
and one - i assume - for fogs
they are identical on both sides
i have bulbs in all 4 slots
yet i have no rear fog lights when i turn the switch on?
the dash light illuminates but nothing at the back

    why??????

    please help

    thanks
