Important! : ABS Pump Whined??

Hi guys,went to take the connection off the abs pump earlier to check the sensers by useing the multimeter on the pins,then i realised i had the meter at a mates house ha..

But as i was pushing the connection back on the pump made a whineing noise as if it turned on or sumting made a connection for it to make that noise..

Im now begining to think that this is the reason i failed my mot for no abs and am hopeing that its not that big ov a job! My ABS light hasnt come on at all..

If anyone can shed any light on this atal it would be appreciated.. Is it just a case ov a loose connection? As i taut when i got the fail sheet it would have bein the sensers or the ABS pump?

Any help at all lads??

It could be a bearing or something gone in the ABS Pump, Not overally sure unless I can see it or hear the whine. How often does it whine? Did they give a reason why the ABS pump failed?

It was just like it got power or sumting.. No it just said "malfunctional indicaters abs not working"..

No as i put the connection back on it whined,as if there was a lose wire or sumting

Have you tried your abs again and seen if its working? Could've been a loose / faulty connection.

Im not really sure because the brakes didnt seem to be bad even when i didnt know anything about the abs not working? How would i test it? Do the abs pumps make noise when working??
