fitting seatbelts - locked?!

   im in the middle of changing all my seats and door cards over, im also changing the seat belts, however im really struggling to get the belts to give me enough slack, to be able to fix the bolt into the top/middle bit of the frame, any ideas/help on this? i've tried slowly pulling but nothings working!

   you've got to unlock them by taking of the side of the reel with the coloured clip bits on and removeing the pruple clip if i remember right.

   i did this but on one side its got a big spring in it. whatever you do make sure you get the right side. mine are fubared.

   Gotta hold them at the right angle as well - I remember parking my car on a steep hill sideways and the belt was locked until I was on flatter ground. (made me late for work trying to figure it out but I was only 17 lol)

   Exactly right stevo, The belt mech needs to be at the exact angle that it would be in the car. So find the mounting point, place the mech onto the mount and recoil it.
