Took car for mot this morning. Huge failure. Aparantly theres over £600's worth of welding before they even start. All underneath is excessively corroded, he said the wheel arch isn't even there, so he said your better scrapping it. So i am now car searching. Huge shame as its a decent motor, starts everytime now new relay fitted, runs like a dream. Guess i'll have to put it for spares/repair on ebay and see what i get

If its any consolation my mates son had a vts, wheel arch liner was coming away at the back on closer inspection when he went to refit it there was nothing to fit it to.He took it to welder & asked him to weld his inner wheel arch the reply came back yes mate but what to theres nothing there just a big hole.He scrapped it in the end.

theres not really any rust i can see at all around the car, you cant see it till you get it up in the air. I love the car its perfect for me. I thought about stripping it down and selling parts seperate but its having time, really as im working 7 days a week n shit. The wheels are probably worth over £300 so i will bang it on ebay and put a reserve price on, see what happens. I just spent £120 few weeks back on the proffesional tinted windows at the back n all wat a mush

    Any pics of the rust?

May be a bit of an over elaboration on cost to fix?

Happened to me with my punto managed to sell it for £350 spares and repairs its now m.o.ted and for sale again. Try getting a few quotes youll probably find somewhere cheaper.

ye i'm thinkin of banging it on ebay, i was told by scrappy they'd give me £150 for it. I would expect double that on ebay to be honest, i think it would be fixable, i just aint got the money to do it. Its too good a car to send to the scrappy i think. I'll bang it on ebay and see what happens

think mine might of ended up that way in a few years. had a good look under it had bit of weldin done then sealed the lot. the only reason its still on the road is because its still a decent lookin car.
