Front and rear bumper mods?

  1. #1
Hi people, I've just finished the process of smoothing my front bumper over

What do think? Going to gloss black the bump strips, splitter and mouth and the rest Icelandic to match car.

Any one got any pictures of their bumper mods?

    Cheers

I done the old widemouth myself..

Fibre glassed and filled followed by respray

i like the widemouth, dont see many around. looks like you have done a good job on it! how long did it take?
  15. #15
Cheers mate, took a couple of days but mainly cause it was freezing cold and heat is your friend when it comes to resin and spraying! The hardest part is building up the holes so they will take filler but easy enough if you take your time.

    ASW moment

Widemouthed mine too, not 100% finished yet, but its driveable lol

Cut the slats out, and sandaded down

Reinforced the holes with mesh and fibreglass (proper job)

    Smoothing up in progress

masking up, sanding down and spraying primer

    Painting (Satin black, looks sexy)

used resin to attach blocks of wood to the back, so i could screw the mesh on (used screws incase it needs removing for what ever reason)
    and added the mesh

all cleaned up and back on the car

just need to find some decent colour match paint to do the bottom strip/splitter in posi blue
bumpstrips are going gloss black soon
gonna get a bodyshop remove and smooth the numberplate recess, coz its an awkward shape, and id rather not mess it up lol
