Smooth boot

  1. #1
    Hey guys

Just wondering how you would light this rear number plate?
Wanted to get my boot done the same as Jodie's, but cant work out how its lit

I know you can get bolts that have lights in so when screwed in they light up, but wanted to get it done without screwing holes in the plate lol

    Any ideas?
    Cheers

Thats what i was thinking but youd have to drill a hole for the wires?

Wiring it up to the light switch shouldnt be too much hassle though

Yeh don't say lol . You wouldn't see the hole if you did lol

  21. #21
How the fuck would you secure it though?

Without it looking like theres an LED strip there
  22. #22
isnt the original number plate lights underneath that little smoothed off panel? as i was going to do similar to mine. i think FisherVTS has got them aswell iirc
  23. #23
Yeah just posted on fishers thread

Thats what i thought but they're quite bulky so would stand out?
  24. #24
could you not smooth it so that the bit above the number plate is slightly lower on the front edge? - i'm not sure if that makes sense

Then glue the strip to the back of that edge?

it sounds ok in my head ... but i dont think i conveyed it too well, haha
  25. #25
    Yeah i understand mate

So when you look at it the lights are hidden underneath the lip?

Could do i spose, just waiting to see how its actually done! lol
  26. #26
yehh thats what i meant - just looked through jodies thread - there arent any pics to see how hers is lit
  27. #27
    Yeah I know lol

And she never replied when I asked
