furio clutch 1.1 box on vts

  1. #1
im collecting bits and bobs for a vts conversion on my furio. i have a 1.1 gearbox that i was thinking of using with the s lump but will it handle the power?

and also i put a brand new clutch in last month. will this handle the power also or even fit the flywheel?

    regards, dee.

the clutch will be too small, you may be able to swap flywheels and use the furio one on the vts? but best bet is to buy a new clutch, or get an egine with a clutch already in place?

always will be better to go for the larger 200mm set up that a vts uses as will handel power better if you decided to up things later on.

The 1.1 box will be fine with the power it could take weel over 300bhp, but its torqe thats the killer, but it will be fine. Just on a side note why not try and find a vts engine gearbox combo as this will already have a clutch and the vts box has good ratios

    hope that helps a little

i got a mk1 engine bought for £100 quid (my progress thread has more info)

it already has a clutch but a bit rusty. if i take it off, what width should the clutch plate be inside. will get picks up so you can see condition.
