orange button

   when i had the bonnet open the other day fitting my bonnet raisers my little brother pressed the orange rubber button by the fuse box under the hood, the next day i went to try start the car nothing i dont know what that button does can someone shine some lights this would that cause the car not to start ?.

   cuts the fuel pump out, its fitted to sensors so when you have a crash it cuts all fuel straight away..pull off the rubber cap and reset it by pull the plastic clips up.

   just went out and did what u said then went to start the car and it doesnt do anything it just makes a ticking noise thhen when i turn the key back it makes a weird noise like something hydrolic moving. it doesnt even make the turning over noise like the coughing sort of noise . any ideas

   him, my mum and dad left for a weekend holiday about 2 hours ago and im left with a car that dont start and a guy coming to pick it up on a trailor for its m.o.t on sunday ( my mums mates doing it). but please need this sorted

   Have a play around with that button, try reset it.
   
   As said its the fuel cut off, it needs to pop back up.

   i took the orange bit off but te white bit that moves underneath seems to move about quite freely but i cant find anyway how to get it to pope up isthe like some i shud push ?.

   try hook something under the white peice of plastic, but be careful they are bit of a bitch to reset, i only found out as happened to me wen i hit a massive pot hole and my car just cut out all of a sudden.

    When mine cut out (after hitting a pot hole) i just popped the bonnet and pressed it down again it and like popped up.
