Cant put vts in gear

   Got off the motorway where I was in 5th gear obviously the hole time, I then got onto the built up roads and was coming down a hill and tried to put the car into 3rd and when i went to accelerate it just revved.
   
   I pulled into a petrol station and then tried to turn it off and try again and it feels like I cant put it in any gear, but it also feels like the hole gear (THINGY?) has moved because the gear stick keeps getting jammed in something.
   
   So I have no idea whats wrong anyone had same problem or no what it is?

   gear linkage came off or snapped? had the same thing on my 306

   How much are they to fix? Are you sure its that?
