#2Does the starter motor actually attempt to turn over the engine or is there no noise at all when you turn the key?
-
#3fuel pump priming???
-
#4Starter motor works sounds like its trying to start! Stuck with no car lol
-
#5get in the car and turn key to second click in ignition and see if u can hear the fuel pump prime if ur not theres ur proplem which will be most likly the regulator which im sure is underneath the ecu tray or the fuel pump itself
-
#6sounds like an ECU problem or a Fuel pump
-
#7*Check any fuses for blows
*Take the coil pack off and just 1 plug out, put the plug that you have taken out into the coil pack and earth that plug against the engine. Get someone to turn the car over (only needs to be once) you should see a strong blue spark from the plug, Check all 4 plugs.
*Get a voltmeter and check your loom to the fuel pump to make sure nothings faulty.
*Get in the car turn the key two clicks only and see if you can hear the fuel pump prime, should be a quick buzzing noise.
*If none of above try changing your fuel pump as it might be nackered. -
#8sounds like my problem :L when you turn the key does it just make a clicking noise ?
-
#9SaxoClarke that's just your starter clicking.
-
#10the car doesnt turn over or anything just clicks when i turn the key
-
#11could well be a snapped cambelt
= new engine
just the way you went to drive off and then it stalled/cut out
sounds a lot like my sisters 306 did and thats what that was
easyest way t chck is remove the 2 10 mm nuts eiter side of the black plastic cover next to the ecu and see whats underneath -
#12Both to becs and clarke.
Have you got a light on your dash with a box and a little key in it? -

#19Clarke that's your Immobiliser,
(If it is just that symbol on your dash everytime you attempt to start)
So basically you've locked your ECU.
You won't get it started now without unlocking your ECU professionally,
You need to get in contact with Bluehawk Electronics, they're based in Hucknall,Nottingham.
You'll find them easy on Google.
It'll cost you about £90 and you get it back the next day.
When you've received it back it's basically plug and play.
Plug it back in and it should be fine.
Hope this helps.1 user thanked this post:
