Locking gears

   HAd clutch replaced yesterday to be told it's gearbox on the way out.
   
   Keeps just locking up and not allowing gears to be selected.
   Seems worse now after getting it back.

   Take it back mate. There must be a bent linkage, clutch fitted incorrectly or cable not adjusted right.

   Was hoping the gearbox oil was just low. in 1st gear while moving, dip the clutch and still grinds away.
   Took filler cap out of the gearbox and covered in metal filing so something is grinding itself up.
   Someone mentioned to check the starter motor isnt catching on the flywheel. could that even get into the gearbox oil?

   Had the same hopes about oil being low last year. If it grinds then it's on its way out I'm afraid.

   Just got a 1.1 gearbox for £45
   
   That'll do me for now
