New Thermostat housing extra hole!! grr!

I have a 1.0 saxo mischief (dont laugh lol)

Recently the old thermostat housing decided to blow out the sensor due to some monkey doing a right bodge job on it in the past (tried to epoxy it by the look of it), so I ordered a new one (the guy assured me it was correct part for my saxo ), the new one is metal not plastic but has an extra hole!

Im did some skimming thru the web looks like my part was designed for euro saxo with air con i believe.

Basically what the hell can i put in this hole so it will work on my saxo and not just piss out coolant.

Ive looked everywhere for something to fit it, no joy in my local garage and hardware stores, nothing this big!!
I think threads are 14mm but not sure about thread pitch and what not? do any u guys know what would fit this so i can get my car back on the road.

    cheers

    lambda sensor?old spark plug?

but yea your correct, its probably a added on bit, take it back and say its the wrong one, they should be able you to find the correct one.

most of the crossover vts came with a spare brown plug sensor in the housing too, where it had a sensor or a bung which wasnt connected to anything..

I though M14 also but what threads are usually standard on this kind of stuff? 1.25/1.50/2.00 thread pitch? I have no idea without trying one, but like I said O cant find anywhere local (i live in the sticks) that has anything so I'm going to have to buy online and just hope I get the right thread pitch.
