Spraying the rocker a different color

    IS THIS EASY ENOUGH TO DO ?? , WHAT KIND OF PAINT e.g , HEAT RESISTANT , MATT , METALLIC ( can use any of these ??) FINALLY IS THE COVER EASY ENOUGH TO TAKE OFF ?? Cheers

    Yeah just sand it down smooth as you can with sandpaper from rough working up to finer grit depending on how good you want the finish then get some heat resistant paint, primer, lacquer (might get away without using lacquer) pretty easy just take ur time with light coats to make sure the paint doesnt run letting it dry to touch dry between coats. Just 2 bolts to take it off and remove the breather pipes and u may need to take out the coilpack for easier access if your car has one

    It doesnt have to be heat resistant at all!
    Normal Primer, Normal tins of sprays/paints then a normal lacquer will do the job mate,
    ive done it many times before and so have alot of others,

    just prep well, give it a good coat of primer and tape up everything & it will be sound,
    don't use your car untill its fully dry then jobs a good un

    When refitting the cover be careful to not over tighten the 2 nuts that hold it on - they like to snap easily.
    I have used the smooth version of hammerite before and it gives a good strong coat but the colour choice is limited.

    use some degreaser and panel wip before sanding you get any oil sanded into the metal it will fuck the paint up
