handbrake adjustment

Anyone got any guides on adjusting the handbrake?

I've got a Haynes manual which I can use, but its a bit too technical, could do with more of a step by step if anyone has it.

the adjuster is above the exhaust under the car, possibly under the heatshield.
make sure the handbrake is off and adjust it (tighten)
have the back of the car jacked up and make sure that the wheels lock up but also make sure the wheels dont bind when the handbrake is released.

should be around 5 clicks when fully adjusted, roughly

Thanks mate, you make it sound easy.

I think the Haynes was putting me off with the amount of technical jargon.

I adjusted the footbrake last week as there was too much travel in it. That was a piece of cake.
