Do cams and remap really make a big difference?

As title do they make a big difference?

    Big difference between a standard 120bhp S to a 155bhp S?

And hows it different? power higher up the rev range? but shit lower down?

    cheers

you'll generally see peak torque developed higher in the revs, but it will be by no means shit lower down.
its a 25% power increase, which is loads

Also depends on the health of the engine & the skill of the person doing the remap.

Depends on what cams you put in. Newman ph1 cams and remap will probably only give you 10-15 bhp but ph5 cams and remap should give you about 30bhp extra.

ph1 would be more like 4-5bhp max. Anything mild to fit without a remap will not give great gains. 1321708 catcams and Newman ph3's are the wildest you can go without doing expensive modifications.

just think what it wouild be like with like 20ish less bhp? you would definatly notice that
