Recently my car has been doing a strange thing where it revs quite drastically up and down on its own. Causing the car to sometimes kangaroo while im on the throttle, which is pretty annoying and very embaressing.
Done a few searches and people suggested cleaning the icv and throttle body, so yesterday morning we cleaned the throttle body out quite well with carb cleaner.. and that didnt stop it.. the icv i have is the bosch sealed unit which you cant take apart, but we sprayed carb cleaner up into that and it seemed to cure the problem for the rest of the day.
But when i was driving home tonight, it started doing the kangarooing again, and during this the throttle becomes like a switch.. either on or off.
Anyone have any ideas? Do you think i should completely replace my icv seeing as i cant take it apart properly, or could it be something more expensive?
