got a paddle clutch and uprated pressure plate fitted in a vtr.. when the pedal is pressed so far there is a rubbing noise from it like somethings catching ? was fitted correctly and pedal feels normal.would this just be cable adjustment ? has anyone had this problem befor ? just seeing if anyone knows befor the box comes off again.

Possible the release bearing has become dis-lodged from the release arm while putting the box back on - very common issue because they are (as suspected) not attached too well in the first place.

hmm i hope not ive notcied that if the peddals in half way, you can feel the biting point and goes into gear fine. anything after that it starts catching. looks like the box may be off again weekend! lovely

    Design flaw

    1) the white plastic bushings that hold the the clutch arm have slop in them - this means the fork does not hit the release bearing squarely.

One fork prong pushes harder on the rel bearing and speeds up bearing noise grease loss and failure.

    2) As mentioned the bush slop gives- off center throw of the rel bearing along the gearbox primary shaft cover tube - it wears it away ,, Citron used to replace the primary shaft cover tube all the time - as they wear really thin and fail, as does the inner of the rel bearing (the sliding inner of the rel bearing)
