whirring/scraping sounds with burning smell and smoke from front nearside wheel arch

set off today and something didnt feel right seemed to be a whirring sound that then later turned to more of a scraping sound. there was also a burning smell and then some smoke from the front left wheel arch.

    any guesses? jammed brake maybe?

Either brake caliper sticking on or the wheel arch liner has become unattached and is catching the tyre?

The other thing that springs to mind is a wheel bearing.

found it. suspension snapped and was sitting on the inside of the tyre ripping it up. whats that normally cost?

should not be too bad, it might be worth puttin a tire on too

For a spring fitted you're looking at upto £80, plus the cost of a tyre.
Ideally you want to replace BOTH springs.
