Anyone who's had success fixing airbag faults...

...what did you try? (Not including pulling the bulb or disconnecting the airbag ECU).

I have an aftermarket wheel with no airbag, but it came supplied with the correct resistor to keep the airbag light off. When I first fitted the wheel, the airbag light came on with the ignition, then went off as normal after starting. Now, the light goes off when the car is started, but comes again after driving a few miles down the road.

When I swapped carpets, I checked all the airbag connectors. I don't think these are the problem.

Does it sound like it might be the airbag ring/ clock spring behind the wheel? If so, am I right in thinking you need to replace it with one that has the some code?

    Cheers

mine was the connectors under the seats. i used a 3 ohm resistor on each one and has sorted it. You could poke a resistor in eachpretensioner connector to see if one of these are at fault as it is a common problem

Do pretensioner faults not make the airbag light flash?

Actually, I could disconnect the airbag ring/ clock spring and stick a 3ohm resistor across the connector. Suppose that way we can rule that out.

the pretensioners can make the airbag light flash yes
the problem will either be the airbag ring or one of the plugs under the seats
