Manual Window Winder Broken - How to fix? (With Pictures)

   Hello,
   
   I finally got round to trying to fix the window winder on my sisters 106. Basically, the bit the the handle connects to circled here:
   
   
   
   Just spins freely, it's not connected properly to the mechanism. Does anyone have any idea how to fix it? Or even replace it? It seems to be held in place by rivets and I can't really see where the orange wires disappear to behind the door frame to disconnect it all to replace with one..?

   Get another from the scrappies and replace? you can drill rivets out then pop rivet it back in afterwards

   Not too sure tbh.. they do look threaded so maybe they just unscrew? won't really know untill you take it apart
