Wheel change FAIL.

After putting my new alloys on and off about 3 times, and this is whats happened to the wheel nut wrench..

Its basically straight! LOL. The head of it is all snaked and bent cause the bolts were stuck on pretty tight (im not the strongest of people ha!)

It doesnt do the job anymore really, had to use a socket set wrench thingg.
I would continue to use that anytime i do but its my dads so really i need a new wheelnut wrench.. Can i get these from anywhere?
  2. #2
yea, halfords, ebay, etc. I used the same standard brace and snapped the handle in half and the broken half pierced my arm, nice scar now 2" long!
  3. #3
Mine just used to spin round, no use for anything except getting the spare wheel out really
  4. #4
i think they made them out of bubblegum...cheap shit!
  5. #5
Did you jump on it to free the nuts lol? Get a spider wrench from halfords - one of my favourite most useful tools. Always keep one in my car.

    Maybbeeeee *shifty eyes*

Haa yeah i did, i cant undo them otherwise! Takes my whole body weight to get the bloody things to turn half a turn!

Will halfords be reliable though? I know a lot of stuff is made cheaply nowadays and can bend easily etc :\

yea itll be fine, most aftermarket stuffs better than the crap that comes out of citroen

I snapped my clean off at the head 3 weeks ago. They were so tight when i was putting all my weight into it the wheels started to rol backwards even with handbrake on. So had to take the sledgehammer out and slide a metal pole over the brace to get more leverage.

Lol, they're so shit.. i deformed mine too. Just use a socket set now much better
  10. #10
Rather get an X brace, they are good and strong..

Or a proper breaker bar, which i prefer to use..

Both can be got from halfords / motor factors for a decent price

    Oh wow. A sledgehammer?! Jeezeee!

Hmm an X brace seems a good plan, as does the breaker bar.. How much they likely to set me back though?

I have a socket set for the mo

Yeah they were truly stuck on. I bought an x bar thing from motor factors for 4.50 then. And i had to force my locking wheel nuts off too, also a pain.

Spider wrench is the same as an X brace - just my weird black country way of saying it And don't worry, I used to jump on mine too before I became a beastly man hunk with biceps the size of my thigh.

i joke, i just got a breaker bar

I beeped my horn at some homeless people this morning on the hagley mile. Really tempted to throw food at them one day. They always have a trolley full of road kill though so I've actually felt hungry going past them recently. Lucky bastards
