2002 1.4 changed engine cant find were plug goes

   hi chaps and chapesses
   
   2002 1.4 saxo
   
   i changed the engine the other day, car runs ok but on idle its missing so somethings not right, either i have the valve clearences too tight and i will check them or its something to do with this plug
   
   
   on the back of the engine you have a plug to the knock sensor, one that goes up to fuel rail, two on one side of the inlet manifold and one on the other, one to top of gearbox, then the one to side of thermostat housing and one to coil pack.
   
   
   but i have found a grey coloured plug thats at the back of the engine and i cant find for the life of me were it goes
   
   
   anyone got any ideas?

   i can do but its just the normal rectangle type grey plug with the spring loaded metal clip that you push in to remove

   could be the one that goest to the oil pressure sensor?

   no thats a small black one that goes to the filter housing at the front, in same part of loom as crank sensor plug

   hahah i guess i got the wrong name then. there is a sensor/switch on the back of the block could be that.

   right in the middle under the inlet mani iirc i'll justst check on my 1.4 its out of the car atm.

   yeh its a yellow looking sensor and have a 13mm bolt going through it for the looks of it

    yeh mine is the 1.4 from a 2001 mk2 furio (cartridge oil filter) not a clue what this sensor is but its on the bacl in the middle behind where the water pipe would fit

    no where near water pump mate its closer to the gearbox end on the back of the block

    ahh yea i think you will find thats the knock sensor, yelloy creamy type thing, think a black plug plugs into it

    this grey plug from memory it has a green wire, a yellow/green wire and a red wire
