Spraying chrome fuel cap

   I got a chrome fuel cap on my car when I purchased it, I was wondering wether its possible to spray them so its colour coded abit as it looks gash at the moment. Has anyone ever done this?

   sure you can just buy one int eh colour your after?
   theres a quide on here in the FAQ's aswell to help get the key out the lock

   i went to the scrappy and took a std fillercap off a red vtr, sprayed it black and a coat of laquer.. change the lock mechanism over and job done! i just need to find how to get the lock out of my one atm LOL

   in the stickys, theres a FAQ's then one in there about getting the key out, think it shows all that your after mate

   i sprayed the chrome one fitted to mine, just rubbed it down, 1 coat of primer, 2 coats of top coat, waited half an hour and wacked it back on. done the job and its been on about 6 months with no peeling/bubbling etc.

   Just thinking I may be wrong some are just chrome covers ? Or is it 100 percent chrome one ?

    the one i had was just a chrome clip on cover, just popped off with a screw driver, sprayed it and popped it back on.

    I think its just a chrome lip, mine is quite badly chroded so Ill have to rub the fk out of it. May have an attempt this weekend, ill post pictures when done
