   Hi everyone
   
   My car is failing to start at the moment, it sounds like its almost starting but can't quite actually start. The car works if I bump start it or start it by towing but then completely cuts out when I come to stop. Does anyone know or have any suggestions about what's wrong with it?

   *Has it got petrol in it?
   
   *Check any fuses for blows
   
   *Take the coil packoff and just 1 plug out, put the plug that you have taken out into the coil pack and earth that plug against the engine. Get someone to turn the car over (only needs to be once) you should see a strong blue spark from the plug, Check all 4 plugs.
   
   *Get a voltmeter and check your loom to the fuel pump to make sure nothings faulty.
   
   *Get in the car turn the key two clicks only and see if you can hear the fuel pump prime, should be a quick buzzing noise.
   
   *If none of above try changing your fuel pump as it might be nackered.
