Hi guys im new on here. If anyone could give me advice that would be brilliant... i purchased a saxo vtr in feb, had it lowered 30mm on front and 1 click on the back. Recently ive started to hear a rumble coming from rear (sounds like something rolling around in boot) Taken it to 3 local garages this morn its been on the ramps 1 guy said its the bushes worn and the other garage said the axle is nakered!! And because its lowered no one will touch it. Dont no what to do ive spent loads on it recently.Any sugestions would be much apreciated thanks.

If its the axle its a common problem it happens when the beam is lowered the wrong way by notches or clicks

Basically cause its been done wrong its fucked it and youll be needing a complete replacement rear axle

Im axles do good deals on refurbished units as does jpsaxo
Think jp is closer for you so give him a pm

if its only recently been lowered/fucked up you might not have damaged the beam and could get away with new bearings

Cheers for the replys.. Only trouble is all the garage's round my area are shit and wont touch it as its lowered. How do you no if its just the bearings? when it on a jack there is a bit of play on the one wheel and the other side seems ok. Does anyone no anyone in the midlands who could sort it for me?...Cheers

To check you need to strip the whole thing right down to check the stub the bearing sits on

Its a few hours work to do if you have the know how but if it is shagged then it wont really go back together properly so your screwed

Best of getting a refurbed axle and pxing yours in tbh

how much movement exactly can you get out of the wheels?

If its really wobbly its likely you'll need a whole refurb axle but if not then you could just rplace the bearings...i hear this is a pain to do though if you can find someone that can/will and if its been lowered by notches its probably worth getting a new one.
